Top Indian car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki has launched 2 limited edition variants of Baleno, its premium hatchback. This will be the carmaker's third special edition for the festive season and earlier to this, it had introduced limited edition models for Swift and Ignis. The limited edition of the Swift was priced at Rs.4.99 lakh but for the Ignis and Baleno, the prices are yet to be revealed. However, it may be priced between Rs.30,000 to Rs.40,000 more over the standard variant.
Similar to the Ignis, the limited edition of Baleno will boast of a cosmetic upgrade over its normal version and will feature a body kit with a contrasting grey, quilted seat covers, 3D floor mats, illuminated door sill-guards, etc. The car will also include Nexa accessories such as cushion, keyring, smart key-finder, and a premium tissue box. No mechanical upgraded has been made on the limited edition Baleno and still comes with engines (1.2-litre petrol, 1.3-litre diesel) that are mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The company is working on a new car, codenamed Y1K, which is based on the Concept Vision S that was displayed at the Auto Expo in Delhi. This vehicle will stand above the Alto in the hierarchy of offerings. It is assumed that the company will name this car as Zen to draw attention towards the new offering without too much of effort in marketing.
The Vision S concept has an ultra-small SUV platform and is targeted at the youngsters in India who are looking for style and affordability.
The Maruti Y1K is expected to be equipped with a 1.0 litre petrol motor with AMT and 5-speed manual transmission options. The testing prototype of the vehicle is expected to be released in 2020.
